It also paints colourful picture of how Ayurveda came to Europe, with hands-on reporting from the beginning days of the Ayurveda Health Centre.
The book is blend of deep insights, captivating developments, and ever new adventures in this unusual life, describing both the author’s happy experiences and his doubts and conflicts. It also presents new, volatile background information- thoroughly researched and referenced – about oppression by church and state in recent decades.
A courageous and honest book full of surprising twists
About the Authors:
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (1917-2008) had a far greater influence on the fate of humanity than is currently known to the public. He enlivened the ancient Vedic knowledge of humanity in its wholeness and tied the wisdom of the East to the science of the West. The groundbreaking scientific research he inspired shows that human kind stands at the beginning of a new and peaceful age.
Maharishi spread the simple, natural technique of Transcendental Meditation. With this, he enriched the lives of millions of people while, at the some time, effectively uprooting entrenched and outdated ways of thinking.
Lothar Pirc, Professor of Practice, DPU Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Centre for Online Learning, Pune, owner and CEO of one of the most successful Ayurvedic clinics in the West, allows the reader to partake of the extraordinarily providential events of his life: profound experiences in meditation, miraculous meetings with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, as well as Lothar’s desire to contribute to a better life for humanity.
This mixture of deep insights, exciting adventures and the ever-surprising happenings of an eventful life presents the exhilarating experiences of the author as well as his doubts and his conflicts. On the way, he reveals the machinations of Church and state, as well as some explosive circumstances of the last decades.
In the most unique ways, the reader receives insight into the work of Maharishi, a great saint of the modern times.
Reviews:
An enlightening book about personal experiences with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, spanning many years. It is written in an engaging way, yet objective, informative, and honest; therefore, I give it five stars.
The book provides insights which can only be gained from first-hand reports. We read about numerous projects in many countries, some of them involving government officials, about scientific statistics with shocking implications, about the dissemination of Ayurveda in the western world, and about daunting obstacles in the form of machinations.
What I liked in particular is that the author didn’t just report on the varying successes of his adventures and his inner growth over the years – he also describes how he went ahead on his own, sometimes decisively contradicting Maharishi. This in no way diminished his respect and gratitude to his master.
I recommend this book to all who are hungry for knowledge.

A wonderful book about a wonderful life. The reader is amazed, time and again, what is possible during one lifetime, if a person opens himself to his own inner boundless consciousness. Simultaneously, this book is a loving “thankyou” of the author to his master. Absolutely worth reading.

The book, “The Blessing of Maharishi”, impressed and moved me deeply and allowed me to experience and understand more profoundly the all-encompassing, as well as tried-and- tested knowledge that Maharishi taught.
Especially for those who do not yet practice TM, this book can be an eye-opener and guide.
