Ramcharitmanas is a great masterpiece of the Vernacular Renaissance. The writing of Ramcharitmanas in Hindi heralded many cultural traditions, most significantly that of the tradition of Raamleela, the dramatic enactment of the text. Ramcharitmanas, for the first time in the history of India, made the story of Raam available to sing, meditate on, and perform. It has now become a popular subject for films and TV serials. Ramcharitmanas is considered the best and most trustworthy guide to the living faith of the Indian people. This book is a compilation of a few verses of Ramcharitmanas with their explanations to enhance human life.
