This book is an anthology of essays on various facets of Rudraksha. The book is the outcome of more than one decade of research by the author on Rudraksha. The author has visited many sacred places, consulted religious practitioners, and gone through scriptures voraciously to produce this book.

That is why readers shall find quotes from scriptures across this book. This book aims at describing the use of various faced (Mukhi) Rudraksha in astrology. In some essays, some spiritual aspects of Rudraksha are also mentioned. But the prime motive of the author is to spread all possible messages on Rudraksha. Even if the book discusses the astrological uses of Rudraksha, anybody desiring to know about this sacred bead can also go through this book. As it is a collection of essays on various types of Rudraksha, readers can browse through any essay of their choice. The book clarifies the dogmas associated with Rudraksha, such as genuineness and rules to wear it. In some essays, there needs to be very basic knowledge of Astrology to understand the applications of Rudraksha. But some other essays are meant for general reading only. About the Author:

Jyotish Guru Prof. Dr. RUDRA PRASANNA MOHAPATRA (M.A., Ph.D., D.Litt.), is a Graduate in Indian Philosophy, Post Graduate in Indian Anthropology and Doctorate in Indian Astrology. He has honorary entitlements of Professor and D.Litt. in Astrology from Prixton Open University (USA). He is a member of the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), International Astrology Federation (IAF), International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR), All India Federation of Astrologer's Society (AIFAS), etc. He is a faculty member at Viswa Veda Vidyapeedam International University and runs the center in Odisha. He was a Long-Term Volunteer at Isha Yoga Center (IYC), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where he gathered fair knowledge on Rudraksha. He pays deep attention to the use of Rudraksha in astrology and thus works under the title of "Rudraksh Jyotish." He has written research papers on Rudraksha and presented on Rudraksha at various national and international forums. Prof. Mohapatra dedicated ample effort to astrological research and has published around 50 publications on various facets of Vedic Astrology in leading English Journals of Astrology like Modern Astrology, The Planets and Forecast, The Astrological eMagazine, etc. Prior to Astrology, Prof. Mohapatra was a Certified Management Consultant to the Public Sector under the Institute of Management Consultants of India (IMCI), after graduating from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB).
