About the Author:
DR. CHANCHAL SARIN worked for her Ph.D (Genetics) under the world renowned Geneti-cist, the father of green revolution in India, Bharat Ratna Professor M. S. Swaminathan. She retired as Associate Professor from Sri Venkateshwara College, University of Delhi, Delhi, India. She taught Genetics and Biology to degree students. She also worked at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, India, during her sabbatical in 1984-86.
Contributed more than 70 poems in various international Anthologies. Member of Professional Bodies: Member, Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA); Convenor of Women and Science for two years.
Other published work include books on Genetics and Biology by Tata McGraw Hill (6), Oxford University Press (2), and Vishal Publishers (1).
Dr. Sarin is settled with her husband in Gurgaon, near New Delhi. Her two children, a daughter and a son, both medical doctors, are settled in the UK.
